Doug Amos

Doug has been involved in sports media in Montgomery for over three decades, having started his career in 1984 as a sportswriter for the Montgomery Advertiser, covering major college athletics. After nine years as a print journalist, Amos began his broadcasting career in 1993, co-hosting a sports radio talk show in central Alabama. In 1995, he and his co-host were awarded the Associated Press top broadcasting award for the state of Alabama. He spent 20 years as the play-by-play voice for Faulkner University athletics. In addition to hosting the MAX Round Table each weekday, Doug serves the Troy Sports Radio Network as its studio host for football and as a play-by-play voice for men’s basketball radio broadcasts and women’s basketball ESPN+ broadcasts. He and his wife, Karla, have a daughter – Reyn.
